The VB–G RAM G scheme is implemented across central, state, district, block, and Gram Panchayat levels. The main implementing bodies include the Central Government/Central Council at the central level, State Government/State Council at the state level, District Programme Coordinator at the district level, Programme Officer at the block level, and Gram Panchayat at the village level.
The Gram Sabha serves as the primary forum for public participation and social audit. The Gram Panchayat handles planning, execution of works, record keeping, transparency, and coordination of wage distribution.
The core objective of the VB–G RAM G scheme is to provide legal employment guarantees to rural households demanding work, transform employment opportunities into sustainable livelihoods, and create rural assets that protect water, soil, agriculture, and the environment. Through public participation, digital monitoring, social audits, and transparency, the scheme aims to build a robust and accountable rural development framework.
